Indeed it can! Although they might be similar, the tuning and sounds of both are very different. Learning the ukulele can help you get the fingering needed for the guitar. We offer guitar lessons to expand your repertoire.
There are four main types of ukuleles available, varying in size, sound and range. These include soprano, concert, tenor and baritone. We can explain them in more detail to you if you are interested.
Although the ukulele is easier to learn than the guitar due to its four strings, it still requires plenty of practice and patience. We can help you get started with tailored music lessons.
B.J is a passionate saxophonist and music composer with over 23 years of experience in Hong Kong’s music scene. He holds the ARSM from ABRSM, showing his strong skills and dedication to music. He has performed in many local bands and public events, sharing his love for music with the community.
Besides the saxophone, he also enjoys playing the guitar and ukulele.
As a teacher, B.J focuses on each students needs and learning style. He aims to make learning fun and inspiring, helping students build confidence and enjoy their musical journey.
He teaches many styles, including jazz, classical, and pop. B.J also encourages students to create their own music and express themselves.
Outside of teaching B.J writes and records his own music.
He speaks Cantonese, English and Mandarin, making lessons easy to follow for students from different backgrounds.

Darcy Van Helden is a dedicated and passionate piano teacher in Calgary who loves helping students of all ages discover confidence and creativity through music. With a strong foundation in music education and years of teaching experience, Darcy creates engaging, personalized piano lessons that help students build solid technique while developing a genuine love for music.
Darcy works with beginner, intermediate, and advanced piano students, focusing on strong fundamentals, musical expression, and goal setting. Whether students are preparing for Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) exams, festivals, recitals, or simply playing for enjoyment, Darcy tailors each lesson to match their individual learning style and musical interests.
